Update on me!

[ Distorted Mood: Distorted ]

I know I haven't been around alot lately.
But I'm alive.
March was ok.
I bought the Zipit Z2 Wireless Messenger.
That was $33. The service was $10 a month for IM and SMS,as well as internet radio.
The device is boring otherwise.
April went good.
Started to collect all of the Loveless manga books now,and also might buy the DVD.
I got books 1 to 3 last month.

Safari 4!

09 Jan 2009 9:04 pm

[ Cool Mood: Cool ]

Safari 4 preview is out to Developers and been seeded like crazy on hacker sites and Rapidshare searches.
According to Apple it's 30.9mb file size will work nice with Snow Leopard(10.6).
I don't see how it's slightly large size will fit in,but oh well.
Safari 4 spreaded out fast once word got out to Mac users.
But I got mine directly from Apple as an Ipod Touch web app developer(I am working on making Ning.com web apps for the iPhone/iPod Touch).
Safari 4 renders Java so fast it's amazing! Squirrelfish makes things speedier than a Daytona 500 grand prix!
This is due to the fine geeks at the Webkit project site, who do nightly builds(I use that too).
Safari 4 loads in three bounces on my aging eMac with Tiger(0S X 10.4.11) and loads in seconds over my 1.8mbps wireless ADSL line.
And I like the new features WAY too much.
The new tabs feature can be set to open either my homepage on my ISP,a blank page,or even a combo!
And the best feature of all? The ability to make any page I like into it's own SSB or Site Specific Browser ala Fluid-like useage!
Infact,it's better than Fluid(which doesn't work anymore in Tiger).
I've made web apps of Facebook,Myspace,My Opera,Ning, and of course here at Macgui. Cool
It's very easy.
And each web app has a screenshot of the web site,so I know what is what.
It saves all web apps under /Applications/Safari Web Applications in a easy to find folder.
Opening each web app, reveals that each is a dedicated mini browser that only functions with the site in question.
You can hide and show the back and forward buttons and the refresh button too,but no more than that.
Also any pop-up or link outside the site itself is ignored!
Wow! Very handy!
Also when my browser crashed, the web app I had open at the time did not crash at all!
Shocked
Sweet!
This is perfect for the over-use of Myspace,Wikipedia,Gmail, and ahem Pandora with all the Flash or Java they load which can cause crashing.
I also use something called Jooce, which is a online Web OS/Hosting made with Flash and Web 2.0. It is a browsers nightmare, but with it's own web app in my dock I have no worries.
I have included screenshots! Mr. Green

OS X Intro music info!

[ Working bout to play with my new firewire drive! Currently: Working bout to play with my new firewire drive! ]

So okay wow I love the history of Mac OS X and it's intros.
My fave? Tiger's intro with it's spotlight.
But did you know the music played in these are real songs?
Cool
Some of the cool fans of Apple and iTunes know.
I decided to list them.

OS X 10.0 to 10.2 has the song called "SHINE" by Aura
It's a Chillout meets Soul song.

OS X 10.3 intro features the song "EPLE" by Royksopp
A Chillout track often played on Soma FM's "Drone Zone".

OS X 10.4 intro features the song "BYTECRY" by Weevil
It starts out a cross over Trance meets Soul song that once was famous on iTunes as a free download.

And finally OS X 10.5 intro features the ear candy tune "EXODUS HONEY" by Honeycut
Again it is a Soul tune with a nice backing of Electro and Trance-like synths.

A little birdie told me the 10.6 intro will be a tune by my fave D&B band Ror-shak. Nice choice.
Lets hope it is "2B". The song falls in line with it's Chillout,D&B, and reprising loopy vocal echos.
It could've even been a good intro to Panther beta builds(just gave a clue. That track was from Ror-shak but is another tune.).

Wind storm hit Cincy!

Sunday was the worst wind storm in Ohio's history! Shocked
Remains of hurricane Ike blew over the skies and the winds were so high it pulled trees up from the ground, broke windsheilds, and blew debries everywhere.
Me and my mother were without power or gas from 2 pm EST to 3 am EST Monday(today).
680,000 were reported without power, and four people were killed by trees.
Schools in the area are cancelled, but I got to PennFoster.edu so always in class.
More about the storm

4th of July fireworks are bad?

05 Jul 2008 5:14 am

[ Distorted Mood: Distorted ]
[ Eating pound cake Currently: Eating pound cake ]

Yeah,thank goodness! Confused
I don't care for silly fireworks.
Destructive and loud.
To me they're a waste of money.
Up in smoke. WTF?
I like to spend my money on things that last.
I made nearly $100 this year alone!
I could've bought all that crap too,but I put my money on things I like.
Fireworks are only nice to see real ones live with your family in an outdoor setting.
Playing with them to me is childish and dangerous.
I never did play with a lot of fireworks growing up.
Sparklers, sure, and those things called Pop n Drop, you get from the '99 Center.
Also,Spinning Flowers.
I think the best moment in my childhood really around that time, was when dad came home from work, and brought me and mom some sparklers.
I never owned the really good kind.
Even when I had the money.
I used to get jealous of all the other kids in the area, with their fancy cherry bombs, whistlers, and all that crap.
Now that I am grown,I am too mature for such things.
Fireworks are a thing of my past.
My childhood.
I did enjoy it at times. Shifty Eyes
I enjoyed more time with family than fireworks.
To me that's what matters.
I still enjoy that today.
With my mom and my ownline family of penpals and distant friends. Smile

Life: Copied from LJ

[ Listening to Asagi-Unknown Currently: Listening to Asagi-Unknown ]

So far as I said this year has been pretty sweet.
I got a new ID,library card,me and my mother get Food stamps again, she gets more money,we may move soon, and we got a lot of new electronic goods!
I am happy about all that. Oh and our health is fairly good too and all. Smile
But,along with the good is the bad. Drama.
I still have arrogent people who call me names around, people in my buiness, and a host of other craziness.
I am still living in CMHA's Millvale/Moosewood.
Hence the craziness. They brag about what they have, but they are still in poverty and still living off the White man and under his thumb.
I may not have all the basics, but I am free. Pure.
I don't sin up and storm and say I am so high and mighty and better than another.
And I don't have bastard kids and spend all my time blundering around in public housing making excuses.
I was raised that if you have an education use it to get ahead, not  fall behind.
And to me these people around this community do just that.
They have the nerve to laugh and have an ego to the damn sky! Idiots.
Talking about I "have no education". At least I don't act it like they do. LOL
They don't even know what Anime and Manga are nor do they know about foreign people and religion!
Sad.
And yeah...I STILL miss home! In the back of my mind...I am <strike>always</strike> home.
Dreams take me to that forever. Home IS where the heart is.
I am plagued with visions at times of loneliness, suicide, and homelessness.
I wonder...is that my future?
I don't want that. Ever.
I want a quiet apartment or house to myself,a job that pays enough to pay the rent and buy food and take care of my internet bill plus extras for games.
That's all.
I don't ask for much. I never have. I make due and in return I suffer those dues.
I am trying to finish high school and go to college online, but I owe about $75.
So,I am on a slight hiatus.
Work?
I sell random used electronics and cell phones for extra cash.
$40 here and $10 there.
Whatever helps me out with games, internet domain charges, website cost, and my pre=paid cell phone bill.
I get Food Stamps for food.
And my mother gets disability for rent cost and credit for clothes and electronics.
So that's my depressing life.
It's not so bad,but as I said,I always feel down and have these visions.
I feel like as an adult,I have failed.
I am too child-like for my own good.
I have never been on a date,had sex,got married,been dumped,or driven a car yet.
I have done other things though way before turning 18.
I've been in love,had a few boyfriends,had a first kiss,seen a boy naked,sat at the drivers wheel of my fathers car.in in a limo twice,been out the city 6 times,held 3 jobs,ect.
I've lived a fairy good life.
If I died today I'd regret just a few things. Things I've said to people or wrote anyway. I write a lot.
I don't talk much. I realized that. A few paragraphs a year.
And I'd miss my mother,my online friends, and my iMacs of course. LOL
*sighs with tears in my eyes* Troll
