There and back again

I've had a heck of a month. Around th 12th of October, I guess not long after I joined up here, one of my housemates and best friends was admitted to the hospital. We thought it was just pneumonia. It turned out to be late stage cancer and she passed away on the 29th. I've just now started trying to get back into doing what I was doing when all this started.

So... I'm back for better or worse.

back from out at a park with mom and little brother.

Boy does time slow down when you're sitting at the park.

Isn't it a bit chilly there to sit out in parks at this time of year ?

I seem to remember snow piled up alongside the runways in Chicago
airport in mid April.

Not this year, it's been around 60 degrees Fahrenheit all week. So it hasn't been too bad. It is weird I must say for being only March.

Global warming Laughing
except that we had a hard winter and the Spring flowers are well behind their usual state of development. I have lost so many "hardy" plants. Sad

Back from volunteering as a camera operator at my church.

As of this morning I woke up to it snowing!

Back in Canada after two years out of country (a new record for me!). Everything feels strange now.

I'm from church again.

I'm leaving in about half an hour to go to church again for youth ministry.

I like how this topic has a new self-centered focus. Laughing

Supports my prejudices about the Northern USA at this time of year.

I gather we in the UK are being promised another barbecue summer by the British Met Office. So judging by last year, that means a cool, wet summer where nothing flowers and crops rot in the ground. Shifty Eyes

I'm back again!

I am an anglo-Canadian, but I did stop in Quebec City to visit old friends during my current (ongoing) sojourn in Canada.
