What's your opinion with the current Flash situation regarding Apple's mobile devices? Do you side with Apple, or Adobe, and why?

Personally, I don't see that it's such a big deal, so I'm basically on Apple's side with this. Sure, we can't use Flash on our iPods and other mobile devices, but we can:
a.) recognize that not every web site is impossible to use without Flash
b.) still use Flash on Apple's conventional computers, the Macs and MacBooks.

What say you?

I don't have experience of Flash on iMobile devices, but my impression is that Flash is just fine on Apple PCs. I'll be a bit annoyed if Flash goes down as a web format as I've just started experimenting with embedding panoramic views with Flash.

Example: http://www.succulent-plant.com/photos/wakehurst03/panorama_swf.html

Apple should recognise that Flash is a major format and either work with it or at least allow independent plugins on their iWidgets. If it was as buggy as Apple claim, it wouldn't be so popular.

Flash is a nice eye candy programming tool and there is a lot that can be done with it but to be fare with Apple its really bandwidth heavy on most applications. Something Apple is trying to avoid with their mobile products for obvious reasons. The iPhone stressed out ATT's network as it is because of what it can do add flash and it would crash it I think.

Well, It's all eye candy these days.
I remember when a regular OS was entirely text based and you typed in commands. That's all there was. Just a > prompt and a flashing cursor.
Like Terminal. Decent programs fitted into a few kilobytes, because that was all there was.

While I can see that compressed formats like mv4 are OK for iPhone, the poor quality will likely show up on the larger iPad. Better quality = more bandwidth. Larger pictures = more bandwidth. No real way around that. In any case, my experiments suggest that Flash movies are not much larger than with other methods of encoding at similar sizes and quality factors.
